Community School

Education is the backbone of social and economic development.

The Piton Community School (PCS) is more than a school: it's the heartbeat of village life, hosting community gatherings, celebrations, holiday events, training sessions, and the occasional soccer tournament. PCS currently teaches approximately 130 students from pre-K through 6th grade, with a 7th grade class launching in Fall 2026 to meet growing demand. Two Piton Partnership programs directly support the school's students: the Lunch Program, which provides a hot meal and a children's multivitamin daily, and the Student Sponsorship program, which supplies each sponsored child with a uniform, shoes, a book bag, books, and school supplies.

Enrollment has grown significantly in recent years, driven in part by families fleeing gang violence in Port-au-Prince and resettling in Piton.
