2016 Hurricane Matthew Damage

In October 2016, Hurricane Matthew blew over Haiti's southern peninsula and destroyed pretty much everything in his path. Piton is located at the tip top of a roughly 3500-ft mountain with not much to protect the structures there. Homes were obliterated and many, many roofs were completely removed.
